Opening and Closing

The main conference starts on Wednesday at 8:30 with an opening session in room HS 10 in the building AM. It ends on Friday with a closing session from 12:45 to 13:15 in the same room.

Room Changes

The semi-plenary by Göran Kauermann takes place in HS13 (IM) instead of HS5 (WIWI)

Lunch and Coffee Breaks

From Wednesday to Friday, we serve coffee and other drinks along with some snacks in the foyers of the buildings WIWI, AM, and IM. On Tuesday (the pre-conference day), coffee is available only in AM.

From Tuesday to Friday, lunch in the university canteen („Mensa“) is included in your conference registration – just show your name badge at checkout. You may choose freely among all offerings from the canteen, but please be responsible and help us reduce food waste!

The canteen is open from 11:00 to 14:00. You can view this week’s menu at:

Preparing your Talk

For Speakers

  • Arrive in the room 10 minutes before your session.
  • Talks for accepted papers are allotted 25 minutes* (+5 minutes for questions) each. Please make sure that your talk stays within this time frame!
  • All conference rooms are equipped with HDMI access to the projectors. Please bring your own laptop as well as an adapter and/or presenter if necessary.
  • If the session chair does not appear for the session, the first speaker listed will take on the role of session chair.

* except for the talks in session "WC 01: GOR PhD Award". As this session has four talks, there are only 22,5 minutes (including questions!) per talk in this session!

For Session Chairs

  • Arrive in the room 10 minutes before your session.
  • Bring your own laptop as a backup.
  • Make sure that the session stays on schedule. Indicate to the speaker when they have 5 and 1 minute left for their talk and stop the talk after 27 minutes at the latest.
  • Make sure that multiple people can ask questions. If the question time is running out, defer additional discussion to the coffee breaks.
  • If a talk is cancelled, take a break in this slot.
  • Conference assistants are available in all buildings to ensure that everything runs smoothly. If there are any technical problems and you cannot find an assistant, please call 0851-509-5360.
